The seller's own promotion, passed through unedited. The "was" price is their claim — I have not checked it. Anything that proves to be a real markdown moves up to All Deals.
I run Real Deal Meter on the side, by myself. I track a deliberately small number of products, record what they actually cost over time, and check each price against the retailer's own product page before it goes up — then re-check it on a rolling basis. Nothing here is a feed republished unread. If I can't verify a price against the retailer, it doesn't get listed.
Where a product is sold by more than one retailer, the comparison table lists each of them. It is ordered by price. It is never ordered by what I earn — and where a retailer's terms don't let me reprint their price, the row says "Check price" instead of guessing.

Real Deal Meter is a list of product deals. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no comments, no basket and no payments. I never ask you for your name or your email address in order to use this site, and there is no visitor database here to sell, rent or trade.
The one thing worth knowing: the outbound links are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, a retailer may pay me a commission. Section 4 explains what that means for your data.

I don't collect your name, postal address, phone number, payment card or bank details, account credentials, or precise location. There is no login system, no mailing list and no comment system, so there is nothing for me to store about you.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic request information — browser type, the page requested, the referring page, the date and time — because the page cannot be delivered to you without it. Cloudflare handles this as my service provider, under its own data protection terms, and is contractually barred from selling or sharing it. I have not enabled log retention, log export or server-side analytics on top of it, so I do not hold copies of those logs myself.
This site makes its money from affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer or its affiliate network may pay me a commission. You pay nothing extra. I currently take part in the AliExpress affiliate programme; any other will be named here once it is approved.
What happens when you click. The link takes you to the retailer's own site. At that point the retailer and its affiliate network set their own cookies, or pass a tracking identifier in the URL, so the sale can be credited to me. That happens on their sites, under their privacy policies — not here, and not by me. I can neither control nor change it.
What comes back to me is limited. Affiliate networks report clicks, orders and commission amounts. Those reports do not identify you by name, email or address. I never receive your payment information, and never a list of who bought what.
I set no cookies of my own. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no fingerprinting script on this site.
Your browser does remember two display preferences for you, in local storage rather than in a cookie: whether you chose the light or the dark theme, and whether you forced the mobile or the desktop layout. Each holds one word — light, dark, mobile or desktop — and nothing else. No identifier, nothing about you. They stay in your browser, are never sent anywhere, and clearing your site data removes them.
Cloudflare may set a security cookie on its own account — __cf_bm, which separates automated traffic from human traffic, or cf_clearance if you are shown a security challenge. Those exist for security, not advertising, and are not used to build a profile of you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings; nothing here depends on them.
California and Delaware law require me to tell you whether third parties may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites when you use this site. The answer is yes: the affiliate networks named in Section 4 do exactly that, from the moment you follow one of my outbound links. No script on this site tracks you before that click. One request does leave this domain before then: the typefaces the pages are set in are served by Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address and browser on every page load. Google states it sets no cookie for those requests and does not use them for advertising, but it is still a third party receiving something about you before you have clicked anything, so it is named here and in Section 10 rather than left out.
There are none. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no measurement script of any kind. I have no way of knowing who visits, what they look at or where they came from. If that ever changes, this section changes with it, before the script goes live.
If you write to help@realdealmeter.com I receive what you put in the message — your address, your name if you sign it, and whatever you write. That mailbox is hosted by Zoho Mail, which stores the messages on my behalf. I use them to reply to you and keep a record of the exchange. You are not added to any mailing list, because there isn't one. Ask and I will delete the correspondence.
California and Delaware law require me to say how I respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. This site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is no cross-site tracking here for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off, and the site does not behave differently when one is sent. That covers this site only — once you click through to a retailer, Section 4 applies.
I do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and have no mailing list or user database to share. The only third parties involved in running this site are Cloudflare (host and CDN, Section 3), Google Fonts (the typefaces the pages are set in, fetched from Google on every page view — Section 6), Zoho Mail (email, Section 8) and affiliate networks and retailers — the last of which are only involved after you click an outbound link. I may also disclose information where the law requires it, though in practice I hold very little that could be disclosed.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. With no accounts, forms or sign-ups, there is no way for a child to submit information here. If you think a child has emailed me, write to help@realdealmeter.com and I will delete the message.
Because I build no visitor profiles and keep no user database, there is usually nothing to look up, correct or delete. If you have emailed me and want that exchange deleted, ask. Several US states give residents formal rights over their personal information, but those laws apply to businesses above certain revenue or data-volume thresholds, and a one-person site falls well below them. Obliged or not, I will honour any reasonable request to see or delete anything I hold about you.
Real Deal Meter is run from the United States, for visitors in the United States. Prices are in US dollars and the retailers serve the US market. I do not target this site at people in the European Union or the United Kingdom, and do not monitor the behaviour of visitors from those regions. If you visit from outside the United States, the information described in Section 3 is processed in the United States.
There is no user database here, no stored passwords and no payment data, which removes most of what would normally be at risk. The site is served over HTTPS. No site can promise perfect security; the honest position is that I hold very little that could be lost.
If this policy changes — a new affiliate programme, or analytics ever being switched on — I will update the text and the effective date at the top of this page. There is no mailing list to notify you through, so check here if it matters to you.
